FAMILY OWNED
FPE (Food Processing Equipment, Inc.) was founded in 1998 by Phil Hartman. Phil identified a need for an alternative to heat pasteurization for the apple cider industry when purification standards were being mandated throughout the US. His engineering background and close work with Cornell enabled him to develop the first UV machine approved by the FDA for beverage pasteurization.
